Farewell

This is my second entry for *whispersss's Inspired by Songs Contest

Once upon a time, in a distant land, a young lady grew up in the safety of the high walls that protected the castle. From her room, she could see the remainings of what it appeared to be another castle. As time passed by, she found her way out her home, and went across the river, to the ruins. There, she played the violin. Day after day, she came to practice in the soft silence and comfort, until a swan came to listen to her play. Summer passed, as the swan got used to her, and they grew close. But as the winter began appearing on the horizon, the swans had to leave. When she came to practice as usually, she barely glanced her winged friend just as it took flight.
"Farewell", she evanescently whispered.
